Nashville based duo, Me and Molly was formed in 2015 by Molly Stevens and Declan McGarry. On their own they have achieved some impressive feats. McGarry was one of four artists nominated in 2012 for the CCMA New Artist Showcase. He was singled out by MusicRow Magazine founder David M. Ross who wrote “There were lots of interesting talents that took the stage but the one that caught my ears with stage presence, voice and interesting original songs was Declan McGarry.” In 2013 and 2014 Stevens played CMA Fest in Nashville. She has opened up for acts such as the Indigo Girls, Sonia Leigh, Zac Brown Band, Jamie Johnson.
In the short time since forming the duo, Me and Molly has opened for acts such as Billy Joe Shaver, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Angie Aparo, Griffin House, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), and Darlingside.
McGarry and Stevens’ command of the stage has been honed individually through years of hard work on the road. Their songs are both thoughtful and charming, honest and thought-provoking. “I think it works because we both brought something different to the table,” says Molly. “And we both come from different influences and backgrounds which is what makes our musical style so unique.”
Me and Molly are currently working on their debut recording. When not in Nashville writing and recording Me and Molly can be found touring the country playing bars, music halls and living rooms. And whether performing at a house concert or a sold out theatre they leave it all on the stage and the crowd wanting more!
