Blooming Trio is a soulful collaboration of singer-songwriters Bethany Joy, Josee McGee, and Skye Burkett. Three artists from the heart of the Rust Belt who come together in this power trio delivering stunning three part harmonies with contagious, moving melodies.

While Pittsburgh native Skye Burkett was completing a music therapy internship in Cleveland in 2025, she and Cleveland native Bethany Joy shared a bill and heard each other for the first time. Instant fans of each other’s work, they started a collaboration with Josee McGee of Canton and Blooming Trio was born. After spending a few months doing marathon rehearsals that would last 8 or 10 hours, the trio has been bursting into the local scenes bringing an infectious excitement into their communities.

Collaborating on each other’s original work and covering groups The Beatles and CSNY, the three songwriters accompany each other creating an intimate, genre-bending sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Blooming Trio features keys, acoustic and electric guitars, and three powerhouse vocalists. Drawing from influences that span indie rock, jazz, folk, and soul, their music blooms with raw emotion, lyrical depth, and vibrant chemistry.
