From the mountains of West Virginia comes a band that reflects the best of their Appalachian heritage while creating songs that move bluegrass forward.
Crandall Creek came into being in 2015 when Jerry Andrews of Moundsville, West Virginia, decided he wanted to start a bluegrass band. Jerry also had an interest in songwriting and some stories to tell. He envisioned a bluegrass band that created its own music with an ear toward the mountain harmonies he heard as a child.
Songwriting alone is daunting. Collaborating in songwriting is rewarding.
Jerry soon linked up with Kathy Wigman Lesnock, a songwriter from West Finley, Pennsylvania. They met through a mutual friend – Jamie Peck, an award-winning producer who owns a recording studio in Wheeling. When talented multi-instrumentalist Dustin Terpenning of Wintersville, Ohio, joined the band, the core of Crandall Creek was set.
The current lineup is:
Jerry Andrews, guitar, vocals.
Kathy Wigman Lesnock, vocals
Dustin Terpenning, banjo, mandolin
Hanna Livingston, fiddle, vocals
Mason Atha, bass, vocals
Anna Dunham, vocals

Abby is nominated for 2021 IBMA Momentum Vocalist of the Year. Crandall Creek also is a 2021 Bluegrass Ramble Official Showcase Artist.
While Jerry and Kathy are principal songwriters, Abby, Dustin, other band members and even family collaborate on the songs.
Tales of lost love, love of family and love of God are on Crandall Creek’s 2020 album, Headed South. Several songs from the album – Drivin’ Me Insane, This Heart of Mine and The Bean Song – charted ahead of its release.
Crandall Creek’s next album, Handprints on the Glass, is in final production.
“We’ve worked really hard, stayed the course and we’ve overcome some pretty major obstacles to get here,” Jerry says. “We are so blessed and I’m so thankful to be with this band doing what we are doing.”
