Songs From the Trail is a multi-media exploration of thru-hiking and long-distance backpacking, from the Appalachian Trail to the Pacific Crest Trail and beyond. Bryan Titus, Marc Apostolides and Shawn Taylor serve up songs, stories, photos, and gear from their collective thru-hikes and long-distance section hikes. With three distinctly different musical styles and perspectives, “Songs from the Trail” is as unique and eclectic, as the journeys they explore. Marc Apostolides performs on piano, guitar and vocals, Shawn Taylor on guitar, harmonica, foot percussion and vocals, and Bryan Titus on guitar, viola and vocals.

They bring with them decades of performing and touring experience, and thousands of miles hiked. Most importantly, they relate their trail experiences to the common threads of humanity. What began as an impromptu “In the Round” show, as part of “The Sacred Sessions” barn concert series in Prospect, CT in June 2024, is blossoming into a creative musical machine. Where it goes from here is as unpredictable as trail life and life itself.
