Tim Husk is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, band leader and founder of the Awen Family Band, a nationally touring world boogie collective formed in Durham, NC of 2019. Blending sounds of traditional folk music including west and north african music, celtic music, zydeco, bluegrass, old time and sounds completely new and unique to acoustic guitar, 5 string banjo, and tenor banjo. Since leaving Freeway Revival in 2018 after three years of heavy touring, Husk formed Awen Family Band with members of Toubab Krewer, Dr. Bacon, Reliably Bad and many more along the way as well as creating main stage and late night immersive stages at festivals such at The Smoke Down, The Heap, Maddox Ranch Medicine Show, Amelia Jamz, Spring Daze, Hester Farm Medicine Show, Fog Fest, and more. Following the inspiration of the life around, Husk is a modern day coddie wompler, traveling purposefully towards an un-yet know destination.
